Everything you need to know about setting up and operating FilePilotPro.

General Information

FilePilotPro is a professional desktop application for high-speed file conversion. It allows you to transform images, documents, and other media directly on your computer.

Unlike online converters, FilePilotPro works completely offline, ensuring your data never leaves your machine.

Yes, the core features of FilePilotPro are completely free. We believe in providing powerful tools for everyone without hidden fees or subscription requirements for basic conversion tasks.

Absolutely. FilePilotPro processes all files locally on your hardware. We do not use cloud servers for processing, meaning your privacy is protected by design.

We support a wide range of professional image and document formats. Our engine is constantly evolving, and we regularly add support for new types based on user feedback. You can always see the full list of available options directly within the app's interface.

No. FilePilotPro provides clean conversions without any added watermarks, branding, or overlays. Your files remain yours.

Internet is only required for the initial download and to check for application updates. All file processing and conversions happen 100% offline on your device.

Currently, FilePilotPro is a desktop-only application. This allows us to utilize your computer's full hardware potential for maximum conversion speed and privacy.

The app will automatically notify you when a new version is available. You can also download the latest installer directly from our website at any time.

Yes, you are free to use FilePilotPro for both personal and professional/commercial work. We do not impose any restrictions on how you use the files you convert.

Install & Setup

The FilePilotPro installer is code-signed. If your browser or Windows shows an "unknown publisher" warning, you may have downloaded a tampered copy from a third-party mirror. Always download directly from this site and confirm the publisher on the signature dialog reads "FilePilotPro Software".

Windows SmartScreen sometimes warns about new versions of legitimate apps until they've been downloaded enough times for Microsoft's reputation system to catch up. Click More info → Run anyway if you've verified the download.

Only if you install it system-wide (the default location, C:\Program Files\FilePilotPro). You can choose "Just for me" during install to put it under your user folder, which doesn't require admin rights.

Go to Settings → Apps → Installed apps → FilePilotPro → Uninstall. The uninstaller removes everything it installed and asks before touching your conversion settings file. Nothing is left behind in the registry.

Yes. The installer accepts /SILENT and /VERYSILENT flags and we publish an MSI build alongside the EXE. Contact us for the deployment guide.

Troubleshooting

Most often this happens when a PDF uses non-standard text encoding (some PDFs store text as image-like glyphs without a proper text layer). In Settings → Conversion, switch the engine to OCR fallback and try again — this forces the app to read the page as an image.

Check that you're running 64-bit Windows 10 (1903 or newer) or Windows 11. If you are, try right-clicking the shortcut → Run as administrator once. If neither works, send us the contents of %LOCALAPPDATA%\FilePilotPro\logs\last.log via the contact form.

Try switching Settings → Conversion → Table mode from Auto to Strict grid. Some PDFs encode tables with floating text that needs the stricter detection rules. If that doesn't help, send us a sample page and we'll take a look.
